HE WAS WORKING WITH THE BUSINESS ENTERPRISE of galleon trade   OF THE hAMBURG FAMILIES OF SPAIN.asa a sailor of one of the galleon shipsHe came from Lisbon Prtugal near Spain and he sailed via the Port of Acapulco Mexico until he came to Manila for the search of gold and spices

 From  Manila he sailed to Cebu and Butuan . As an employee of the Hamburg enterprize in Islas Filipinas .. he was entitiled to the privileges enjoyed by the Peninsulares in the Philippines.  The Peninsulares were Spanish employees who live in the Philippines.  

But the privileges have requirements. One of the requirements.. He must prove that he was a resident of the Philippines
   When he came to Butuan he met the mother of Inay Juana , a manobo woman  .
    His friends in the the Spanish Audencia, the Spanish government in the Philippines advised him to marry a filipina sop that he could prove that he was a filipino resident . 

     So  HE MARRIED THE MANOBO WOMAN.....The Audencia approved his application to become a Peninsulares.  A Peninsulares have favorable priveleges.. such as the right to own vast of lands.  In this way he became a landlord in Butuan.  In effect The council of Manobo tribe had adopted him to be one of the Datu or Manobo chieftain.  In this manner...   Inay Juana being the daughter of a  Manobo Datu.. She was recognized as a  Bae or a Manobo Princess
