STORY OF SERGIO URSOS

One day Sergio Ursos was called by Inay Juana

Yes mother replied Sergio.  Are you willing to work in theUS Navy?Why mother?
   
    Listen  .. this was the story.... when my father a Portuguese sailor married my mother in ButuanHe facilitated that some of the relatives of my mother will be employed in Sangley Point in Cavite. and some of the cousins of my mother got married with  the Roca family.. The Roca family were employed in Sangley Point  Cavite. They worked as ship builders since the time of the Galleon Ships. They build Galleon ships to be used for a voyage to Mexico every year.  When the american have won the war and the spanish audencia goverment here in the Philippines was defeated.  The US government took over Sangley PointBut the Roca family continued their employment at sANGLEY WORKING FOR THE MAINTAINANCE of the US ships for a long time they were there. and they have a letter to me informing to help any of my children if interested to work there. Albino have already established his life as a businessman of Ubay and Cebu.  I am sending Amando to Butuan to claim my lands in Langihan . Ricardo is interested to follow the footstep of your father.. to become a pastor.  Dikoy is busy with his career as Capitan del Barrio of Basiao. I have no idea about you .. thats why I offered this to you

SANGLEY POINT
       So Sergio came to Sangley Point and he was helped by the Roca family to be employed in Sangley

   ////////////  Sergio  worked well  until he was promoted as  Petty Officer of one of the US Navy warship.  Petty Officer will manage the needs of the personnels within the ship

                  One day the Ship of which Sergio had been aassigned with  had a new assignment. It was bound to be stationed i Pearl Harbor in Hawaii

The turn of events came upside down . Hitler of Germany declared war to the USA.
              Japan  was an ally of Germany

               December, 1941. Japan bombed PearlHarbor to isolate the United States from the Asia Pacific   






During the daring Japanese Navy attack in Pearl Harbor..  Sergio Ursos was there..... gasping to survive




After the bombing of Pearl Harbor the united States declared war against Japan..  The rest was history


THE LETTERS BETWEEN TWO BROTHERS


Amando Ursos was enlisted inthe USAFFEE, The US army combined with filipino soldiers  Amando was assigned in Mindanao

   SersERGIO AND aMANDO  EXCHANGED LETTERS THROUGH MILITARY COURRIER

aGAIN THE US ship where Sergio was working with .. was tasked to assist the Allied invasion Rome.  








Naval engagement in the Mediterranean by the allied against the Navy of Germany  had an incident of a damaged ship where Sergio was working. He was rescued in that incident. 
After the rescue he was reassigned to another ship and returned to Pearl Harbor

After many years in Hawaii
    Sergio got a an american girlfriend of which they had a daughter called Adel

 ADEL......  DAUGHTER OF SERGIO URSOS 

After the war Sergio decided to come home in the Philippines

AMANDO URSOS THE BROTHER OF SERGIO IN THE US ARMY 
 Letter communication with Amando Ursos he learned  that Benjamen was missing
He told Amando that he will be coming home and they agreed to set the Ursos Reunion in Basiao on january 1957

    Sergio   helped the Ursos Reunion at Basiao He financed  cattle to be roasted (LECHON BAKA) during the reunion




      wHENsERGIO FOUND bENJAMEN IN cALATRAVA He also found a wife... Nena Villaflor
       
         his MARRIAGE TO nENA vILLAFLOR THEY WERE BLESSED  with HANDSOME AND BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN,- Rodney, Merlyn, Lorna, Jonathan, gRACE  ursos camado
